DRACULA LIVES

Perhaps there are no two words that better exemplify what we mean by JBTW than, “Arab Spring”. To call it a misnomer is an insult to inaptly named events. Putting the movement in the proper context is more deserving of a Dracula metaphor in which the prince of darkness rises from the dead after having been banished from human consciousness.

In the 1969 film, Dracula has Risen from the Grave, the main character is awakened after having been frozen and forgotten. He is awakened when the blood of a priest with weak faith finds its way through the cracks of ice and into the mouth of Christopher Lee’s character. After getting a sufficient amount of bloody sustenance, Dracula arises from his evil slumber and is angered when he learns that crosses have donned his castle.

Ladies and gentlemen, we introduce you to the Arab Spring.
